Beets, jars, Vaystickvus
Small village. Long stories.
Every lane leads somewhere worth standing.
Vaystickvus fits inside an afternoon walk, yet visitors keep missing their coaches. Beet fields on all sides, timber towers in the middle, and a square that never quite empties.
See the festivalCobblestones that argue back.
The lanes were laid by committee in 1743 and no two agree on direction. Locals insist this is deliberate, so that strangers slow down long enough to be offered soup by somebody's grandmother.

Where the soup is serious
Four generations of Vaystickvus families have worked the copper floor, peeling, boiling and arguing about dill. The factory turns out enough borscht each week to redden every table in Slobovnia, and the recipe has changed exactly twice — both times by accident.
Tours run every morning except festival week, when the whole floor moves to the square. Wear shoes you do not love; the beet does not forgive.
